Day#3 – Novena in honour of Nativity of Our Lady

The Croatian Football Team made it to the 2018 World Cup Finals. They prayed together as a team and worshiped God together. They believed that God was with them. They had a very powerful conviction that the Lord was with them. Mary said with powerful conviction, “I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to your word”. She lived her life in total submission to God’s word and today the world honours her as the Mother of God.
In our life, even if we are struggling, we must have powerful conviction that God is with us.
- Prophet Daniel, in the Old Testament — he was saved because he was a man of God and he firmly believed that God was with him.
- Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego — were saved from fire because they had firm conviction that Yahweh was with them.
- In my neighbouring parish, a youth of 31 yrs had a terrible accident. His skull was opened and he was not responding to treatment. His parents believed in the power of God and this youth was saved.
We need to have a firm conviction that God is with us.
- There is no greater worship than that of the Eucharist. Feel the presence of God in the Eucharist.
- Romans 8:32 — If God is for us, who is against us? — is a powerful conviction.
- David said, “I have loved my God with all heart … whom shall I fear ?” No one!
Pray at this Eucharist with the conviction that Mary had; that God is always with us and he will see us through.
